A power outage is expected to affect downtown Marion and some surrounding streets around 3:00 pm today. Duke Energy has advised Emergency Management that this outage will affect nearly 900 customers and is necessary due to an emergency repair that must be made at their power facility on Rutherford Rd. This outage could occur earlier based upon the situation at the facility. Additional updates will be sent as they become available.
