Vehicle Theft Arrest San Andreas
On February 8, 2020, at about 2:30 AM a person exited the Mark Twain Hospital and noticed their vehicle was missing from a parking stall. The victim immediately contacted the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol to initiate a stolen vehicle report. The stolen vehicle’s description was broadcast countywide. At about 2:40 AM Calaveras deputies observed the vehicle near the Mobil Gas Station on Vista Del Lago RD, Valley Springs.
Deputies contacted the driver, Suspect Jamey Lynn Maroney (42-year-old male, San Andreas). Maroney was detained until a California Highway Patrol Officer could arrive to continue the investigation. Maroney subsequently was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail for 10851 CVC, Vehicle Theft (Felony), and 496 PC Possession of Stolen Property (Felony). He is being held in the Calaveras County Jail with a bail of $25,000.00.
