Detectives investigate stabbing at Victorville apartment complex.

INCIDENT: Assault with a Weapon

LOCATION: 13500 block of Third Avenue, Victorville

SUMMARY: On February 9, 2020, multiple deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to a reported disturbance at the Andalusia Apartments on Third Avenue. The original caller stated someone had been stabbed and a loud disturbance could be heard in the background. While deputies were en route to the location, Sheriff’s Dispatch received multiple calls about the fight.

When deputies arrived, they found an 18-year-old male and a 19-year-old male suffering from apparent stab wounds. Both subjects were flown to nearby trauma centers for treatment. Two additional males believed to be involved in the incident, had been taken to a residence on El Rio Road in Victorville. Both subjects sustained injuries during the fight at the Third Street location. One of the subjects, a 17-year-old male suffered stab wounds. The second subject, an 18-year-old male sustained facial injuries. Both the 17 and 18-year old males were transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital for treatment. All parties are expected to recover.

During the initial incident, another caller reported someone had been shot; however, investigators were unable confirm that report and no gunshot victims have been located. This investigation is ongoing, and the cause of the disturbance has not been determined. Detectives are working to determine if there are outstanding suspects or any additional witnesses.
