Male falls through ice at Main St/N. Roosevelt St. in the city of Green Bay

At 3:36AM, Green Bay Police Department and Green Bay Metro Fire Department responded to a report of a male that had fallen through the ice of the East River near the intersection of Main St. and N. Roosevelt St. The caller stated that the male was calling for help.

When police officers arrived, they discovered a hole in the ice with footprints leading up to the hole, but no footprints leading from the hole. Green Bay Metro Fire Department used watercraft and other equipment to search the area and break up the ice in a rescue effort with no success. Nobody was found under the ice, and he may have traveled downstream. At this time, the male is unidentified, as he was unknown to the caller.
