* WHAT...Heavy wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. Amounts to 5 inches are possible in northeast West Virginia. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph in the afternoon.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Virginia and central, northeast, northern, southeast and southern West Virginia.

* WHEN...From 4 AM to 1 PM EST Friday. Rain will change to snow after 4 AM. The heaviest snow is expected between 6 AM and 9 AM.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions may impact the morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates up to an inch per hour are possible between 6 AM and 8 AM in the northeast West Virginia.
