Sheriff’s investigators are investigating the murder of a 66 year old woman. At about 2:23 PM, Ventura County Fire Department and Thousand Oaks Police Department personnel responded to a call of a subject not breathing at a residence in the 900 block of Woodlawn Drive in Thousand Oaks. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive adult female with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds. There was also a conscious adult male with additional injuries. Both subjects were transported to a local hospital. The female was pronounced deceased at the hospital and the male remains in stable condition. The investigation has led investigators to believe this was a family disturbance that escalated into violence and no suspects are outstanding.
