...Winter Storm to impact the region from tonight through Wednesday... .A light wintry mix of precipitation will spread from northwest to southeast across the region late this afternoon and tonight as a low pressure system approaches from the southwest. Snow will then develop from southwest to northeast across the area on Wednesday and may be heavy at times along and north of the Interstate 44 corridor. A wintry mix will remain possible Wednesday across south-central Missouri.

* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze. For the Winter Weather Advisory, freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of a light glaze.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas and central, east central and southwest Missouri.

* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, from 6 AM Wednesday to 6 AM CST Thursday. For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 6 AM CST Wednesday.
