Details: On February 2, 2020 at approximately 3:31 AM officers conducted an area check of Cesar Chavez Park. A vehicle was located parked in the area and officers contacted two subjects inside the vehicle. The male subject was identified as Jose Rodriguez and the second occupant was found to be a juvenile under 14 years of age. Through investigation it was learned that Rodriguez had contacted the juvenile via social media and arranged to meet with her for sexual purposes. Jose Rodriguez was transported and booked into the Kings County Jail for violating California Penal Code Section 288(a)- lewd acts with a child under 14, 288.3(a)- contact a minor with sexual intent, 288.2(a)- sending harmful material to a minor, 288.4(a)(1)- arranging a meeting with a minor for sexual purposes, 288.4(b)- attending an arranged meeting with a minor for sexual purposes, 647.6- annoying a minor under 18 years old.
