Deputies arrested Steven Kanke for Possession of Narcotics/Paraphernalia, Trespassing & Probation Violation

INCIDENT: TRESPASSING/ POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS/ POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
LOCATION: Dos Palmas/ Amarillo Rd., Pinon Hills
SUSPECT: Steven Kanke, 55-years-old, Transient
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 8:20 pm, deputies D. Peterson and K. Schuler conducted a security check on a vacant residence near Dos Palmas and Amarillo Rd. in Pinon Hills.
Deputies contacted Steven Kanke inside the residence. He was found to be trespassing on the property and was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Kanke, who is on active adult felony probation, was arrested without incident and booked at High Desert Detention Center. He is currently being held without bail on a probation hold.
