Nightclub disturbance results in two arrests.

Kingsville Police officers responded to a call just before 1 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2020, of a disturbance at a bar located on U.S. Highway 77.  Officers were told that two males had been involved in a disturbance, had forced a female into a vehicle and had displayed a pistol.  Responding officers saw the vehicle leaving the parking lot and conducted a traffic stop.  The driver, Lee David Yancy (26), was wearing an empty holster.  A 9mm pistol was located in the center console.  A backseat passenger, Xavier Membreno (27), attempted to swallow 13 small baggies of cocaine and was arrested.  The female was unharmed and released.
Yancy and Membreno were transported to the Kleberg County Jail.  Yancy was charged with Unlawful Carrying Weapon on Alcohol Premises.  Membreno was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, 4-200 grams; Unlawful Possession of Firearm by a Felon and Tampering With Physical Evidence.
The investigation continues.
