INCIDENT: Possession of a Loaded Stolen Firearm, Willful Discharge of a Firearm in a Negligent Manner
LOCATION: 16300 block of Hughes Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Tyrone Tumbling, 18-year old Victorville resident,
Tyjuan Kent, 18-year old Victorville resident,
17-year old male
SUMMARY: On January 27, 2020, Deputy A. Curtis, with the Victorville Police Department, was patrolling in the area of Doris Davies Park, when she heard gunfire.
Additional deputies responded to the area and a search began to locate the source of the gunfire. Deputies searched the park and nearby apartment complex and talked to witnesses and residents. A short time later, multiple subjects were seen running from the location. Deputies caught and detained the subjects. Fired shell casings and a backpack thrown by one of the subjects were recovered. Inside the backpack deputies found a loaded handgun, which had previously been reported stolen. No injuries were sustained as a result of the gunfire.
Tyrone Tumbling was arrested for possession of a loaded stolen firearm and willful discharge of a firearm in a negligent manner. Tyjuan Kent was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen firearm. Both were booked at High Desert Detention Center. A 17-year old male was also arrested for possession of a loaded stolen firearm and willful discharge of a firearm in a negligent manner. He was booked at High Desert Juvenile Detention Center.
