1/26 – 10:53 p.m. – Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in progress on Pine Street. Upon investigating they found there had been an altercation between two females who are related by blood, and who have resided together. The officers found probable cause to take one of the subjects into custody, and she was transported to the St. Clair County Jail. Upon completing the investigation, the report was forwarded to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review. On the 28th the defendant, Machelle N. Buckley age 22 of Millstadt, was charged by the state’s attorney’s office with the following:
Count 1: Domestic Battery: in that the said defendant, knowingly made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with the victim, a family/household member of the defendant, in that she kicked the victim about her leg. A Class A Criminal Misdemeanor, Category A Offense.
A $5,000 recognizance bond was issued.
