Domestic Battery
1/21 – 5:01 p.m. – Officers responded to a domestic disturbance on North Jefferson Street. The incident was between a male and two other subjects he is related to and currently was residing with. Upon investigating, the officers found probable cause to believe a domestic battery had occurred. They took the suspect into custody, and eventually transported to the St. Clair County Jail. Upon review of the case the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged the defendant, John F. Sullivan age 27 of Millstadt, with the following:
Count 1: Domestic Battery: in that the said defendant, knowingly made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with the victim, a family/household member of the defendant, in that he shoved the victim with his hands. A Class A Criminal Misdemeanor, Category A Offense.
Count 2: Domestic Battery: in that the said defendant, knowingly made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with the victim, a family/household member of the defendant, in that he struck the victim with his hand. A Class A Criminal Misdemeanor, Category A Offense.
A $7,500 recognizance bond was issued.
