GTPD Community Bulletin:Gloucester Township Police To Swear In 2 New Officers; 7 New Volunteers and Flag Ceremony
On Monday, January 27th 2020, Chief David Harkins will present 2 Officers to Mayor David Mayer and Council to be ceremoniously sworn in as Police Officers, as well as 7 Volunteers for the Police Service Program.
The following Officers will be ceremoniously sworn in as Police Officers:
Patrolman Francis Guarnere
Patrolman Shawn Kelly
The following people will be ceremoniously sworn in as Volunteers for the Police Service Program to assist the police department:
Heather Vadakin
Kevin Davis
Michelle Beck
Joanna Sorensen
Rosetta Linton
Vincent Carotenuto
Robin Spina
Karen Maratea
Glen Gordon Jr.
Following the swearing in of officers, two military Flag ceremonies will take place. One flag will be presented to the Gloucester Township Police Department by Ptl. Kelly, who recently returned home from military deployment in Afghanistan. This flag was flown while he was deployed with Golf Company 2nd Battalion 25th Marines in Helmand Province Afghanistan. A second flag will be presented to Ptl. Pearce by the Gloucester Township Police Department in anticipation of his future military deployment.
The ceremony will take place during the regularly scheduled Municipal Council Meeting at 7:30 pm in the Municipal Council Room, 1261 Chews Landing Road, Laurel Springs, NJ 08021
