Residential Burglary Investigation on Monticello Terrace
Fremont Detectives are investigating a residential burglary that occurred Thursday evening in the Mission San Jose District.
On January 23, 2020, at 6:18 p.m. an in-progress residential burglary was reported through 911. The caller stated that a home had been burglarized in the 600 block of Monticello Terrace. Monticello Terrace is in a gated community on a remote road that sits just north of Ohlone College. Several patrol officers immediately responded.
Officers located a shattered rear door at the back of the home and several items of value were reported missing by the home owner. Officers conducted a thorough search of the area and adjacent hillside with the help of drones and two K9s. The suspect(s) likely parked in a remote area and then walked/hiked to the residence to commit the burglary.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation now being led by the Department’s General Crimes Unit.
