Local Businesses please be on alert for a fraud, which has surfaced over the last few weeks in Pocatello. A caller will contact the employee working at the business and pose as a corporate officer or owner of the business. The caller advises that there are counterfeit bills in the till, the vault or deposit bag. The caller then instructs the employee to remove the bills and await a courier to arrive at the business and pick up the money. If someone contacts you regarding this fraud or any other suspicious request, please contact the Pocatello Police Department at 208-234-6142.
