Police Seek the Public’s Help in Identifying Armed Gas Station Robbery Suspect

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose requests the public’s help in identifying the below male suspect who is being sought for an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, January 19, 2020.

The male approached an attendant at Fuel 4 Gas Station, located at 1126 McCarter Highway, and demanded his cash at gunpoint. The suspect stole $800 to $900 before fleeing on foot, heading northbound on McCarter Highway.

Detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public’s help in quickly identifying this suspect as part of their investigation. He is described as 5’7” tall with a slim build and a dark complexion. He was wearing a gray jacket with a neon yellow/green stripe. The jacket also has a matching yellow/green pocket on the upper left sleeve. The suspect wore a neon yellow/green face mask, light blue jeans and tan work boots.
