Stop by and meet new Thousand Oaks Police Chief James Fryhoff and Thousand Oaks Fire Chief John Spykerman at Starbucks, located at 2072 E. Avenida De Los Arboles (at the corner of Erbes Rd.) in Thousand Oaks, on Friday, January 24th, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The chiefs invite you to share concerns about your community over a cup of coffee. For approximately six years these casual discussions between community members and the chiefs have led to numerous resolutions of community issues that would otherwise not have surfaced. Thousand Oaks Police Department and Ventura County Fire Department view open lines of communication as an integral part of developing proactive partnerships with the community and working together on identifying, prioritizing, and solving problems. This is also an opportunity to talk about personal safety, crime, and quality-of-life issues. As always, thank you to Starbucks and all our local coffee houses who periodically host Coffee with the Chiefs. |
