Jorge Martinez of Moreno Valley was arrested for being a felon in possession of a loaded stolen firearm

INCIDENT: PC 29800(A)(1) Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 25850(c)(a) Possession of a Loaded, Stolen Firearm, and HS 11370.1(a) Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed.
LOCATION: Garden Dr./ Baseline St, San Bernardino
SUSPECT(S): Jorge Martinez, age 43 of Moreno Valley
SUMMARY: On January 22, 2020, Deputy A. Lopez, from the Sheriff's Central Station, conducted a traffic stop at Garden Drive and Baseline Street in San Bernardino. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jorge Martinez. During a search of the vehicle, a stolen loaded firearm was located, along with a large amount of methamphetamine. The firearm was reported stolen in Fontana. Further investigation revealed Martinez is a previously convicted felon.
Martinez was arrested for PC 29800(A)(1) Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 25850(c)(2) Possession of a Loaded, Stolen Firearm, and HS 11370.1(a) Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed. Martinez was transported and booked into the Central Detention Center.
