On January 20, 2020, at approximately 9:50 pm, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety responded to the 600 block of East Weddell Drive on a report of heavy smoke and flames showing from a mobile home. DPS units arrived on the scene and immediately began rescue operations. A 67-year-old adult female was found in the residence and rescued by firefighters. Life-saving measures were started and she was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.  She is currently listed in critical condition. During fire operations,a 71-year-old adult male was found in residence and pronounced deceased on scene.
