Deputy stops vehicle with expired tag and finds meth 
Deputy Jared Cody of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Sarah Jean Shook, 24, address listed as East Crawford Street in Old Fort, with possession of methamphetamine.
Cody stopped a vehicle on Veterans Drive at 1:56 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2 because the tag was expired. Shook was the passenger.
Deputies searched the vehicle, and, in Shook’s purse, found .8 gram of methamphetamine.
