IMPD Homicide Detectives Make An Arrest In Two Homicides

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives make an arrest in the January 8, 2019 homicide of 21-year-old Chrishaun Snelling and the January 9, 2019 homicide of 24-year-old Shaugnje Scott.
 
Just after 8:25 a.m. on January 8, 2020, IMPD officers responded to 733 Hardin Blvd to investigate a person shot.  Officers arrived and located a male, identified as Chrishaun Snelling, unresponsive, in the stairwell area of the apartment building.  The male appeared to have injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) responded to the scene and transported the male to Eskenazi Hospital.  Despite the best life saving techniques, the male was pronounced deceased at the hospital. 

Just after 10:30 a.m. on January 9, 2020, IMPD officers responded to 7923 Westmore Drive for a  person who appeared to be deceased at this location.  Officers arrived and located an adult female, identified as Shaungnje Scott, unresponsive, she was pronounced deceased at the scene by IEMS. Further investigation uncovered her injuries were consistent with a gunshot wound(s).  
 
Detectives continued to investigate these cases. During the investigation detectives were able to gather facts and evidence which enabled them to get an arrest warrant for Damarion Moore through the Marion County Prosecutors Office.  On January 17, 2020 Officers located Damarion Moore in Champagne, Illinois where he was arrested for his involvement in the deaths of both Chrishaun Snelling and Shaugnje Scott.
