Michael McConnell of Needles was arrested for attempt murder and an outstanding active felony warrant

SUMMARY: On Saturday, January 18, 2020, Colorado River Station deputies responded to the Colorado River Medical Center following the report that a male subject, later identified as Michael McConnell, was there seeking treatment for what they believed to be stab wounds.
Through investigation, deputies determined McConnell had assaulted a victim at a residence in Needles. Deputies made contact with the victim who explained the assault that had occurred and identified McConnell as the suspect. Deputies determined McConnell was stabbed during the assault.
McConnell was arrested for attempt murder and was also found to have an active felony warrant for inflicting corporal injury to a spouse. He was transported and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for the felony warrant and also the attempt murder and is being held without bail until his arraignment at Victorville Superior Court.
