SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARED FOR CITY OF WISCONSIN RAPIDS BEGINNING SATURDAY

Snow Emergency Declared in the City of Wisconsin Rapids For Immediate Release---Wisconsin Rapids, WI. In anticipation of a winter snow event,
Mayor Zachary Vruwink has declared a Snow Emergency in the City of Wisconsin Rapids beginning at 5:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18 , until 12:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19th to provide safe and efficient snow removal activities. Vehicles cannot be parked on City streets during a snow emergency. Any vehicles parked, stopped or left standing on City streets are subject to being ticketed.
Drivers should use extreme caution on snow-covered streets and during low visibility and heavy snowfall times. Please slow down and stay clear of snow plows. Thank you for your compliance with this snow emergency.
Wisconsin Rapids property owners must clear snow and ice from their sidewalks within 24 hours of a snowfall. Snow that is removed may not be pushed, thrown, or blown onto city streets. City snow removal policies and procedures can be viewed at: www.wirapids.org/snow-removal.
