Alfred Jara a convicted felon was arrested for possession of a firearm after deputies responded to a shots heard call

SUSPECT: Alfred Jara, 34-years-old of La Puente
BAIL AMOUNT: $50,000
Summary:
On Sunday, January 12, 2020, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station responded to reports of shots heard in the area. Deputies located the residence and requested the occupants step out of the house. The resident and a male subject, later identified as Alfred Jara, stepped out but quickly returned back into the home when they realized deputies were outside. Deputies gained entry into the home and cleared it. A search warrant was served and deputies located a spent casing in the back yard, a shotgun in a closet and a handgun under Jara’s mattress in a bedroom. A records check revealed Jara is a convicted felon and was arrested for possession of a firearm.
Jara was booked at the West Valley Detention Center where he remains in custody on $50,000 bail.
