On Sunday, January 12th, a fatal traffic collision occurred at Wilson Avenue and San Sevaine Road in Rancho Cucamonga

DRIVER 1: Barbara Knass, 86-year-old - deceased
DRIVER 2: Marlon Huerta Quevedo, 18-year-old
SUMMARY:
On January 12, 2020, at approximately 5:15 pm, Rancho Cucamonga deputies responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and San Sevaine Road in the city of Rancho Cucamonga. Barbara Knaus was driving a white 2018 Nissan Sentra traveling west on Wilson Avenue and Marlon Huerta Quevedo was driving a 2011 Nissan 300Z traveling east on Wilson Avenue. As the vehicles approached the intersection of San Sevaine Road., Knass failed to yield to oncoming traffic and made a left turn in front of Huerta Quevedo. Huerta Quevedo's vehicle struck Knass' vehicle broadside on the passenger side, causing it to roll. Knass was pronounced deceased on scene and Huerta Quevedo was transported to the hospital where he is in stable condition.
