Check of unresponsive driver turns up meth and marijuana 
Deputy T.J. Madden of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Dakota Carson Mykel, 24, address listed as Old Linville Road in Marion, with possession of methamphetamine, possession of up to ½ ounce marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, Madden responded to the Tate Street welcome center to find a man unresponsive in a black Crown Victoria. He was later identified as Mykel.
A subsequent search of the suspect and the vehicle turned up 3.6 grams of marijuana and .40 gram of methamphetamine.
