Eastern Polk County in western North Carolina...
Southeastern Mitchell County in western North Carolina...
East central Yancey County in western North Carolina...
Western Burke County in western North Carolina...
* Until 845 PM EST.
* At 752 PM EST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 4 miles west of Spruce Pine to 7 miles southeast of
Columbus, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.
* Locations impacted include...
Forest City, Marion, Rutherfordton, Spruce Pine, Spindale,
Ellenboro, Bostic, Lake James State Park, Lake James and Nebo.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Scattered trees and power lines will be blown down in the warned
area. Seek shelter inside an interior room.
