On January 11, 2020, at 1:46 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a 911 report of an altercation between a customer and an employee at Casey’s General Store located at 810 E Park Street in Fort Branch. Upon arriving law enforcement officers were advised that the female customer identified as 37-year-old Amy Weightman of Fort Branch had left the store. Upon locating Ms. Weightman at her residence and after a brief investigation Ms. Weightman forcefully resisted law enforcement as they attempted to take her into custody. After being secured in a patrol vehicle Ms. Weightman was transported to the Gibson County Jail where she was charged with Battery and Resisting Law Enforcement. She remains in custody on a $650 bond.
