The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Flood Warning for... Coles County in east central Illinois... Christian County in central Illinois... Northern Edgar County in east central Illinois... South central Sangamon County in central Illinois... Moultrie County in central Illinois... Shelby County in central Illinois... Southern Vermilion County in east central Illinois... Cumberland County in east central Illinois... Southeastern Champaign County in east central Illinois... Douglas County in east central Illinois... Effingham County in south central Illinois...

* Until 1215 PM CST Saturday.

* At 314 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain which will cause flooding. Up to three and a half inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Danville, Charleston, Mattoon, Effingham, Taylorville, Shelbyville, Tuscola, Sullivan, Toledo, Chatham, Pana, Auburn, Georgetown, Westville, Arcola, Pawnee, Tilton, Villa Grove, Altamont and Arthur. Additional rainfall amounts of one to one and a half inches are possible in the warned area. This includes the following highways... Interstate 55 between mile markers 77 and 86. Interstate 57 between mile markers 147 and 216. Interstate 70 between mile markers 79 and 104, and between mile markers 107 and 126. Interstate 74 between mile markers 207 and 219.
