SUSPECT: Ruben Avatyan, 37-years-old of Rancho Cucamonga
David Vergarachaverra, 23-years-old of Rancho Cucamonga
Summary:
On Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 2:15 p.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station were conducting extra patrol in the city when they observed a suspicious vehicle at Beryl Park. Deputies contacted two male subjects in the vehicle and identified them as Ruben Avatyan and David Vergarachaverra. While deputies were conducting their investigation, one of the subjects dropped drug paraphernalia in plain sight. Deputies searched the vehicle and located a scale, methamphetamine, mushrooms, wax, a meth pipe and a bag of unknown pills.
Avatyan and Vergarachaverra were arrested on drug charges and booked at the West Valley Detention Center with bail set at $50,000.
