Two people were arrested in a stolen vehicle; one subject had a no bail warrant out of Nevada

INCIDENT: Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Possession of Dangerous Drugs
LOCATION: I-40 Freeway/J Street in Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Shane Brown, 49 years old from Mohave Valley, AZ
Tiffany Kebschull, 29 years old from Mohave Valley, AZ
SUMMARY: On January 9, 2020 at 11:18 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department located a stolen vehicle driving on the westbound I-40 exiting at the J Street off ramp and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver, Shane Brown and passenger, Tiffany Kebschull were detained. Through the investigation, it was determined that Brown was driving the vehicle without the owner’s permission.
Brown was questioned and subsequently arrested and booked into Colorado River Station jail for VC10851(a) Vehicle Theft with a bail of $50,000.00. Additionally, Brown was a fugitive from Nevada with a no bail warrant for illegally possessing a firearm. Brown is currently awaiting a court hearing.
Kelschutt was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and numerous syringes. Kebschull was booked into the Colorado River Station Jail where she was issued a citation and later released.
