...Heavy Rainfall Likely Friday and Friday Night... The National Weather Service in Springfield has expanded the
* Flash Flood Watch to include a portion of southeast Kansas, including the following areas, Cherokee and Crawford.
* From Friday morning through late Friday night
* Widespread moderate to heavy rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected. Localized amounts up to 5 inches are possible where multiple thunderstorms occur.
* These rainfall amounts will lead to an increased risk for flash flooding of low lying areas, creeks, streams, and low water crossings.
* AFFECTED AREAS: CRAWFORD ... CHEROKEE
