The Millstadt Police Department will be offering their 13th annual D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) College Scholarship. The winner of the scholarship will be awarded $1,000 to be used for the upcoming school year. Applicants must be entering college in the fall of 2020. They must be a graduate of either Millstadt Consolidated School or St. James Catholic School in Millstadt. Applicants must also have a 3.0 high school grade point average, will be required to write a 500 – 750 word essay, submit three character references, and submit their official high school transcripts. Those interested can pick up an application at the police department, village hall, or check with their high school guidance counselor’s office. Any questions should be directed to Lt.
