During the cold winter months and as we all return to work and school after the holidays, drivers may be tempted to warm up their cars in the mornings.  But cars left running, unlocked, and unattended are quick and easy targets for car thieves. 
 
•  Never leave your vehicle unattended with the keys in the ignition as you warm your car up.
•  Warm up car thefts occur frequently this time of the year.
•  Take the time to sit in your car while you warm up your engine.
•   If you forget something inside your home, turn your engine off, lock your car and start all over.  Don’t leave your car running, in your driveway, parking stall or street, even for “just a minute”.
 
 
A minute is all it takes to become a victim of a crime. Keep yourself and your vehicle safe!
