Traffic stop leads to arrest of Montgomery woman on DUI charge. 
On January 5, 2020 at 2:52 a.m. Deputy Michael Rose observed a White 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo fail to signal a turn onto Prince Street from Clark Street. Upon initiating a traffic stop Deputy Rose identified the driver as 24-year-old Leah Ashby of Montgomery, Indiana. During a roadside investigation Deputy Rose observed clues that might indicate that Ms. Ashby was impaired due to alcohol consumption. At that point Deputy Rose with the assistance of Deputy Loren Barchett conducted a DUI investigation. At the conclusion of their investigation Ms. Ashby was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jal Ms. Ashby was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. She has since posted a $650 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
