Suffolk County Police today arrested an Amityville man for driving with 38 license suspensions in Copiague.  
 
James Brown was driving a 1997 Toyota Camry southbound on Ferraris Street, near Dixon Avenue, when a First Precinct police officer initiated a traffic stop for a broken tail light at approximately 10 a.m. A check of Brown’s license revealed 38 license suspensions on 12 different dates.
 
Brown’s vehicle was impounded.
 
Brown, 68, of Croydon Road, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1^st Degree, a felony. He is scheduled for arraignment on a later date.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
