*2nd Update* #LASD Homicide Shooting Death Investigation, 2000 blk W. 154th Street, Compton
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives have arrested 37 year-old Eduardo Ubiarco for the shooting death of a female adult and the wounding of a male adult that occurred on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at 12:38 a.m., in the 2200 block of West 154th Street in Compton.
Suspect Ubiarco, a male, Hispanic adult and resident of Sherman Oaks, was arrested on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 shortly before 2:00 p.m. He was transported and booked at Century Regional Detention Facility and is currently being held in lieu of one million dollars bail.
Suspect Ubiarco is the common law husband of the deceased female victim. The male adult who remains in critical condition with gunshot wounds to his upper torso is the father of the deceased female victim.
The weapon has not been recovered.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a female adult and the wounding of a male adult that occurred on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at 12:38 a.m., in the 2200 block of West 154th Street in Compton.
Detectives have learned that Compton Station deputies responded to the location regarding a “gunshot victim” call. Upon their arrival, they located a male adult and female adult suffering from gunshot wounds to their upper torso.
The victims were transported to a local hospital where despite lifesaving efforts, the female succumbed to her injuries.
The male adult remains in critical condition and is not deceased, as previously reporter.
Homicide detectives are currently detaining a male, Hispanic adult as a person of interest, who had been in a dating relationship with the female victim.
The person of interest and female victim’s two children, who are between the ages of 10 and 14, were at the scene of the crime and were not injured.
The incident is not gang-related and the weapon has not been recovered.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.

The victims, a male adult and a female adult, were transported to a local hospital where they were later pronounced dead.
