Suffolk County Police last night arrested a juvenile male for assault after he stabbed a man in Nesconset earlier in the evening.
 
A 17-year-old stabbed a 19-year-old in the chest following a dispute in the parking lot of CVS, located at 111 Terry Road, at approximately 8:15 p.m. The victim then walked into CVS, where an employee called 911. The victim was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.   
 
Following an investigation, police arrested the 17-year-old a short distance from the scene at approximately 10:25 p.m. Fourth Squad detectives charged the suspect with Assault 2^nd Degree. He is being held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on January 2.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
