2020 MUNICIPAL CALENDARS ARE BEING PRINTED AND WILL BE MAILED TO EACH HOME/BUSINESS AS SOON AS THEY ARE READY.
 
DOG LICENSE INVOICES WERE MAILED OUT THIS WEEK.  DOG LICENSES MUST BE RENEWED BY JANUARY 31.  $10.00 LATE FEE PER DOG APPLIES FEBRUARY 1 THEREAFTER. 
 
HOLIDAY RECYCLING SCHEDULE - Due to New Year's Day falling on Wednesday, below is the RECYCLING schedule for the holiday:
 
**Cardboard/Mixed Paper Collection (cardboard, cereal boxes, gift boxes, wrapping paper, newspapers, magazines, books and junk mail) will be picked up on Thursday, January 2.
 
MUST BE LOOSE IN CAN OR BUNDLED.  RECYCLABLES IN PLASTIC WILL NOT BE PICKED UP.
 

RECYCLING MUST BE CURBSIDE BY 6:00 AM. 
RESIDENTS MAY PUT OUT THE NIGHT BEFORE SCHEDULED PICKUP.
 
** Our new Solid Waste/Recycling Contract included MIXED PAPER as described above.
 
HOLIDAY GARBAGE COLLECTION – Due to New Year’s Day falling on Wednesday, below is the GARBAGE schedule for the holiday:
 
Wednesday’s garbage route will be collected Thursday, January 2, 2020 along with the regularly scheduled Thursday route.  ALL GARBAGE MUST BE CURBSIDE BY 6:00 AM.  RESIDENTS MAY PUT OUT THE NIGHT BEFORE SCHEDULED PICKUP.  As a reminder, only 2 bulk items are permitted per pickup.
 
BAGGED LEAF COLLECTION will be December 31 and FINAL PICKUP January 7, 2020, weather permitting.
 
After leaf collection ends, residents must BAG THEIR LEAVES IN BIODEGRADABLE PAPER BAGS and bring to the Recycling Center, 19 Industrial Park during normal business hours (Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm and Saturdays 9:00 am - 1:00 pm) or keep leaves on your property until the Grass-Brush/Branch collection begins in April 14, 2020.
 
CURBSIDE CHRISTMAS TREE PICK UP will occur January 6, 7, 8 and January 13, 14, 15 as part of your normal garbage routeTrees must be curbside by 6:00 am on day of pickup.
 
RECYCLE COACH - Never Miss Another Collection!  With Recycle Coach, residents can:
  • Stay organized with custom curbside collection and events calendars
  • Receive collection reminders and real-time updates on service disruptions
  • Become recycling experts with a comprehensive "What Goes Where?" search tool, including local disposal information and collection requirements for common and uncommon items
  • Take the “What Type of Recycler Are You?” quiz for useful recycling tips and tricks
PANCAKE BREAKFAST AT WALDWICK AMERICAN LEGION - Pancake breakfast at the Legion, from 9:00 am -12:00 pm. Cost is $5 for pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, toast and coffee/tea/juice.  Proceeds/donations will go towards the Legion Building Improvement Fund.

WALDWICK ADULT SERVICES CLINIC - Hosted by our Public Health Nurse, clinics are held the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, Waldwick Health Center, 22 Whites Lane (behind Waldwick Ambulance Corps) Waldwick.  Free blood pressure screenings, health and nutrition information and more are available. Flu shots are also available during at the clinic.  No appointment necessary. Questions? Introduction to the World of Tea
Thursday, January 23, 7:00 pm
Join Nina Androski, tea enthusiast and Tealightful Tea Consultant, for an introduction to the world of tea -- from tea plant to teacup. Learn about different types of loose leaf teas, how to brew the perfect cup and the wellness benefits of drinking tea. This is an interactive program that uses all the senses and includes a tasting. Reservations requested so we have enough tea for all!
 
Bingo for Adults
Friday, January 31, 2:00 pm
Bingo excitement is coming to the library! Join us for all the fun and no expense. Prizes for winners and light refreshments served.
 
COUNCIL REORGANIZATION MEETING - Tuesday, January 7, 2020, 7:30 pm in the Administration Building, Council Chambers, 63 Franklin Avenue.
 
ALL BOROUGH OFFICES will close at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, December 31.  Offices will be open Tuesday, January 7, 2020 until 7:00 pm.
 
BOROUGH OFFICES will be CLOSED January 1, 2020 in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday.
