...WINTER STORM WARNING & AVALANCHE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO 5 AM MST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Moderate to heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 7 to 14 inches with locally higher amounts up to 18 inches. The new snow is expected to create dangerous avalanche conditions.

The storm is taking a Southern track so anticipate more impacts on South San Juan County, Molas and Coal Bank passes.

* WHERE...Southwest San Juan Mountains.

* WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to 5 AM MST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. A detailed map of the snowfall can be found at: www.weather.gov/gjt/winter.
