Advisory

Four men were identified as suspects in a series of residential burglaries - one armed/dangerous suspect outstanding

DATE/TIME: Tuesday, December 10 at 12:24 p.m. and Friday, December 13, 2019 at 9:21 a.m.

INCIDENT: Conspiracy, Burglary, Grand Theft Auto, Possession of Stolen Property and Felon in Possession of a Firearm

LOCATION: Various residences, City of Needles, CA.

SUSPECT(S): Dillon Knedler, 18 years old, resident of Hesperia, CA
Samuel Deckard, 18 years old, resident of Hesperia, CA
Jason Venegar, 37 years old, resident of Needles, CA
Davontre Venegar-Scott, 21 years old, resident of Needles, CA.


SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, December 10, 201, at 12:24 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station responded to a residential burglary report on the 3000 block of Parkway Drive in the City of Needles. Deputies discovered several firearms, cash, jewelry and the victim's vehicle stolen from the location. On Friday, December 13, 2019, additional burglaries on the 200 block of Spruce Street and 900 block of Earl Court were reported. The investigations showed the burglaries were related to the burglary on Parkway Drive. The investigation identified four suspects as being involved in the burglaries. Several search warrants were authored and served at various locations within the City of Needles. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Special Enforcement Division (SWAT) assisted with a search warrant on the 1900 block of Erin Drive where several stolen firearms were recovered.

On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, Jason Venegar and Davontre Veneger-Scott were located, arrested and booked into the Colorado River Station Jail. Jason Venegar was also booked with a No Bail hold for a probation violation. Arrest warrants were authored for both Knedler and Deckard with a bail set at $100,000. each. On Thursday, December 19, 2019, the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office filed felony charges on Deckard, Knedler and Venegar, as well as misdemeanor charges against Veneagr-Scott for possession of stolen property. Knedler was arrested on the felony warrant Saturday, December 21, 2019 while visiting an inmate at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Deckard is still outstanding and should be considered armed and dangerous. His whereabouts are unknown at this time.
