Santa Clara Police Department will be facilitating a checkpoint on Friday, December 20 from 9 p.m. - 2 a.m. Officers will be verifying driver's have a valid license, current registration and looking for signs of alcohol/drug impairment.
Plan accordingly today, and every day:
* Host the celebration
* Plan to stay the night at the party location
* Designate a sober driver
* Use a taxi, ride share or public transportation
* Report Drunk Drivers by calling 9-1-1
Funding for the checkpoint is paid for through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
