The annual Crossing Guard Holiday Party was yesterday at the Police Building. SCPD celebrated these special team members for the positive role they play in the lives of children. Crossing Guards serve as front line protectors to children as they come and go from schools. They blend compassion with the ability to gain compliance from kids, parents and passing motorists. Stationed at 32 busy intersections throughout the City, Crossing Guards greet community members with a smile, high five, fist bump, wave and friendly hello.
