Emergency Railroad Repair To Close SR 68 in Haubstadt
GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closures on State Road 68 in Haubstadt for an emergency railroad repair.
Beginning on or around Monday Dec. 23, CSX railroad crews will close state road 68 between U.S. 41 to S.R. 65 to repair a cracked rail at the crossing between South Main Street and South 1st Avenue. Work is only expected to last for one day.
During the closure, local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. All other traffic should use the official detour following U.S. 41, S.R. 168 and S.R. 65.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
