On December 18, 2019, at about 3 am, a woman came to the Novato Police Department and reported she was assaulted by her fiancé, Michael Globe, at his residence in Novato. During the assault, the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. Globe physically held her against her will and took away her cellphone. She fled the residence and contacted a neighbor for help. Shortly afterward, Globe fled the area in his vehicle. While the victim was being interviewed, additional officers checked the residence and surrounding neighborhood but were unable to locate Globe. A request was sent to local law enforcement agencies for Globe’s arrest for domestic violence. Novato Police Detectives started the process of obtaining a warrant for Globe’s arrest and obtained an emergency protective order for the victim. Globe was reportedly seen at a business in downtown Petaluma. Petaluma Police officers located Globe after he barricaded himself in the business. He was arrested by Petaluma Police for the outstanding domestic violence warrant and additional charges. Pending medical clearance, Globe will be booked at Sonoma County Jail.  We would like to thank the witness who reported Globe’s whereabouts and the Petaluma Police Department for apprehending Globe.
