Murder Suspect Of His 1 Year Old Daughter Taken Into Custody Tonight By SHERIFF VICTOR HILL’S Elite Fugitive Squad
John C. Sumner learned tonight that you cannot get away with murder. At least not in Clayton County.
Back on June 16, 2019, Clayton County Police responded to a residence in Jonesboro concerning a 1 year old being unresponsive. EMS arrived to the scene, but determined that the child was already deceased. The child had been in the care of Sumner and him alone for the last 12 hours before death.
Videos showed that when the child was picked up from her Mother, the child was well and had no known heath problems. An autopsy report
just revealed that the child died from a traumatic brain injury that caused bleeding in the brain. The medical examiner stated that the child died very soon thereafter. As a result of this report, Clayton County Homicide Detective’s took out a Murder warrant for Sumner today.
Within the hour of the warrant being obtained, Sumner received a visit from the Fugitive Squad and is now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail known better as “The Hill-ton”.
