Homicide Investigators arrest Joshua Camacho of Crestline for Murder

DATE/TIME: December 14, 2019/ 8:15 a.m.

INCIDENT: PC187 Murder

LOCATION: 700 block of Deer Trail, Crestline

SUSPECT: Joshua Camacho, age 36 a resident of Crestline

VICTIM: Kaleb Aurelio, age 16 a resident of Twin Peaks

SUMMARY:
On Saturday, December 14, 2019, at approximately 8:15 a.m., deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station responded to the report of a man down in a driveway of a residence in the 700 block of Deer Trail. San Bernardino County Fire personnel also responded to the location and pronounced the male victim, later identified as Kaleb Aurelio, deceased.

A Coroner Investigator responded to the location and found that the victim had a gunshot wound. Investigators from the Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail, were requested and responded to the location to conduct the investigation.

Through investigation, investigators identified a nearby resident, Joshua Camacho, as a possible suspect responsible for the death of the victim. Investigators obtained a search warrant for Camacho’s residence in the 700 block of Big Oak Road, Crestline.

Deputies from the Specialized Enforcement Division (SED) were requested and responded to assist in the investigation.

On Sunday, December 15th, a search warrant was served at Camacho’s residence, and evidence was located connecting him to the murder. Deputies from SED located Camacho at a residence in Orange County, he was transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters and interviewed by Homicide Investigators. At the conclusion of the interview, Joshua Camacho was booked into the Central Detention Center for PC187 Murder.

The motive remains under investigation. No additional information is available for release at this time.
