Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports at 5:59 pm on December 13, 2019 deputies responded to a two car personal injury crash at Dailey Rd and Pine Lake Street , Jefferson Township , County Of Cass. A vehicle driven by Stephanie Lynn Anderson (32yrs South Bend) was eastbound on Pine Lake Street and failed to stop at Dailey Rd and struck a northbound vehicle driven by Daniel Edward Berryman (60 yrs South Bend).

Stephanie Anderson's passenger Justin James Anderson (29 yrs South Bend) was transported to St. Joe hospital. Stephanie Anderson , Stephen Hayes ( 30 yrs South Bend) and two juveniles were treated and released at the scene. Berryman and his passenger Lorena Platz (59yrs South Bend) were transported to South Bend Memorial.

Deputies were assisted on scene by Michigan State Police, Edwardsburg Ontwa Township Police Department, Life Care Ambulance, Pride Care Ambulance, SMCAS Ambulance and Edwardsburg Fire Department. Seat belts were used by all occupants and the crash remains under investigation.
