...Atmospheric River to Bring Periods of Moderate to Heavy Mountain Snow... .A prolonged atmospheric river event will bring moderate snow to the western Colorado mountains as well as the southern mountains in southeast Utah through Sunday with a few periods of heavy snow. Snow showers will generally favor the northern and central mountains this evening. The heavier snow rates will then spread south late tonight and continue through Sunday before the heavy snow snow threat tapers off from north to south.
* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 18 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Northwest San Juan Mountains and Southwest San Juan Mountains.
* WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to midnight MST Sunday night.
